Action week against racisms

UNAR organizes the “Action week against racism” every year.

The action week against racism is a traditional appointment of UNAR directed to a wide public due to a busy schedule of training and awareness activities in addition to national animated initiatives carried out within the education system, universities, sports and cultural associations.

The event takes place every year during the worldwide “Day for the elimination of racial discriminations”, established on March 21st by the United Nation General Assembly. It is a way to remember the massacre of the 69 demonstrators that were peacefully protesting against the racial laws issued by the apartheid legislation that took place in Sharpeville in 1960 perpetrated by the South African police.

Action Week against Racism: 2018 edition

Like every year, on the occasion of the World Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, which is celebrated all over the world on March 21st, UNAR promotes the Week of Action against Racism, a campaign of awareness and territorial animation that has now reached its fourteenth edition, scheduled from 19 to 25 March 2018.

Action Week against Racism: 2017 edition

The XIII edition of the Action Week against Racism took place from 20 to 26 March 2017, a traditional UNAR event aimed at a wide audience: the intense calendar of information, awareness and territorial animation initiatives was promoted throughout Italy in the world of schools, universities, sport, culture and associations.

Action Week against Racism: 2016 edition

On the occasion of the annual recurrence of the World Day against Racism, which is celebrated on March 21st, UNAR, also in 2016, organized the Week of Action against Racism, now in its twelfth edition and scheduled from March 14th to the 21st 2016.

Action Week against Racism: 2015 edition

“Turn on the mind, turn off prejudices.” This is how the 11th week of action against racism organized from the 16th to the 22nd of March 2015 by UNAR for equal opportunities opened in collaboration with ANCI and MIUR.

Action week against racism: 2014 edition

On the occasion of the World Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, which is celebrated on March 21 worldwide, UNAR (National Office of Racial Anti-Discrimination) organized the “Action Week against Racism”, a sensitization campaign its tenth edition, scheduled from 17 to 23 March.
